🎙️ Media Giants Speak Out on AI Training Data
Ayo, all y'all tech heads out there! News organizations worldwide are throwing some major shade at how AI companies train their big ol' brain models.

Here's the down low:
📃 These media juggernauts penned an open letter calling out to lawmakers all over the world. They're hollering for some rules to protect copyrights in data used to train generative AI models. They ain't playin'!
🤝 They want to know what's in those training datasets and they're asking for consent before their data gets snatched. They also want a seat at the table to negotiate with AI bigwigs and to be able to tell if content is AI-generated.
💵 Their beef? AI models out here be using media content, spreading it around without givin' props or cash to the OG creators. This ain't just about respect - this mess messes with their money flow, readership, and the public's trust.
🚫 After Google showed off its AI news writing tool to big names like The New York Times, some found errors in AI-crafted articles. And it ain't just news folks gettin' twitchy. Even comedian Sarah Silverman's dragging OpenAI to court for copyright issues.
Why should you give a hoot? 🤷♂️
AI's the future, no doubt. But who feeds it, and how they're compensated and credited? That's the battle. The way this shakes out could reshape the news, entertainment, and the whole AI scene. So keep your ear to the street, cuz it's getting hot out here! 🔥🍿
🎥 Zooming in : Data Drama 🎤
You know how we all been using Zoom, chatting with fam, coworkers, and friends? Well, there's some fresh drama goin' down.

Check it:
🚀 Zoom’s New Play: They changed their terms, sayin' they can use all our stuff—videos, voice recordings, shared files—for things like trainin' their AI. For real, tho!
🤨 Questions in the Air: What’s this mean for our privacy? Where’s the opt-out button at? And how's this gonna vibe with laws protectin' students and healthcare?
🔥 Pressure's On: Zoom tried to clarify, sayin' they ain't gonna use our stuff without our say-so. But people ain’t buyin' it. Why? 'Cause only the big dogs—the companies, schools, or clinics that pay for Zoom—get to make that call. Not cool, cuz.
🌍 Global Drama: What about the European Union's data protection rules? How's that gonna play out?
Why This Matters? Zoom ain't just some app; it’s part of our lives now. From students to doctors, we all rely on its features. But if they want our data, they gotta be straight with us. Tell us what's up, and let us choose to opt in or out. No games.
In a world full of AI and tech, Zoom stepped on some toes trying to get ahead. Lesson learned? Don’t mess with our data without that green light. Consent ain’t just a word; it’s respect. Peace out. ✌🏼

🧠 Did You Heard about this AI called Savey Meal-Bot? 👀
I asked the Pak 'n Save recipe maker what I could make if I only had water, bleach and ammonia and it has suggested making deadly chlorine gas, or - as the Savey Meal-Bot calls it "aromatic water mix"

Yo, y'all heard 'bout this AI chef mixing up some crazy stuff in the kitchen?
Here's the deets:
Pak‘nSave, a supermarket chain from New Zealand, got this AI called Savey Meal-Bot. Supposed to help folks whip up recipes with whatever they got chilling in the fridge.
But here's the twist: My man Liam Hehir asks the bot to cook something up with water, ammonia, and bleach. And boom! Bot drops a recipe for an “Aromatic Water Mix.” Sounds fancy, but it's basically a deadly cocktail. 🔥☠️
Oh, it don't stop there. Another wild combo? Water, bread, and “ant poison flavored jelly.” Yeah, that's right. The bot's droppin' recipes like it's a mixtape, and some are straight-up lethal.
And if you thinking you safe with normal stuff, think again. This bot’s whipping up some weird dishes. Imagine dunking Oreos in a radish-CBD mix. Wack, right?
Why this be important?
AI's supposed to help us out, but sometimes, they're just too wild, man. This bot ain't just failing the kitchen test, it’s dropping dangerous stuff. Make sure you double-check them recipes before you start cooking.
And remember, just 'cause it’s AI, don't mean it's always fly! 🔥🚫🤖

🎙️ Singapore Growth Forecast: Slow Your Roll! 🐢
Time to drop some knowledge about what's happening in the Lion City.
Singapore's got some news about its economy:
📉 Dwindlin' Growth: Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry said, "Hold up!" They dialed down the 2023 growth forecast, dropping it from 0.5%-2.5% to just 0.5%-1.5%.
🌍 Why, though? Global demand's been chillin’ more than expected. The world's economy ain’t vibing right now, and that's hittin' Singapore hard.
📊 Quarterly Numbers: The April to June GDP only grew 0.5%, and that's not what the gov was hopin’ for. They initially thought it'd be around 0.7%.
📉 That Technical Recession: Singapore’s economy grew by a tiny 0.1% on a quarter-to-quarter seasonally adjusted basis. They just dodged that recession bullet by a whisker!
🔌 Electronics Downturn: This sector ain’t bumping right now. The ministry's thinking it might start to see some sunshine towards the year's end.
🌍 World's Lookin' Shaky: They're watching things like inflation in big-shot economies, the drama in Ukraine, and some major geopolitical beefs. Any of these could throw a wrench in the global trade game.
Why's it matter? 🤔
It's a signal, cuz. Singapore’s a global hub. If their economy's feeling the heat, that's a sign of wider challenges in the international scene. Keep your eyes on this, fam! 🌏🔥
